RIVERSIDE YOUTH MINISTRY (JR & SR HIGH)
 

The vision of the youth ministry here at Riverside is for all students to come to know Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives and that through this change in heart, it would deeply impact the way they live their lives in every aspect. We want our students to feel cared for and loved by the youth staff and know that they can come as they are and not have to put on the act of being “Christian.”

• Come as you are: broken, skeptical, and empty
• Come follow Christ
• Come live in his grace and for his purpose

The ministry at the Riverside Youth Group is primarily through personal contact time with your students. We believe that the truth of God’s word brings change into student’s lives through the work of the Holy Spirit but we want to love our students well and minister to their hearts. We have an amazing team of volunteers (both male and female), a gifted youth intern, as well as a youth director who all love your students.

This Week's Stuff (and Upcoming Stuff)—May 5th, 2008

• Middle School: Cross Training is Wednesday nights at 6pm and it's only $5 for dinner! Don't miss out on what we're doing and what the summer is going to look like. This is a great way for your students to bring their friends and share their faith.
• Middle School Activities: ALL Youth Group Paintball War is on May 17th for ONLY $50. Be at the church office by 12:30 and we'll be back by 5pm. Call Simon at 918-9922 or email him at simon@riverst=idestl.org if you plan to go so he can p[lan transportaition.

• Senior High: The Gathering is done with until June. Check out the activities for full details on what's coming up!

Hey Parents! 

First off, I want to say thank you for welcoming me to Riverside Church! All of you have shown so much support and encouragement and I can see that you truly care about this ministry and more importantly, your kids. With that said, I want our relationship to be as open as possible. If there are ever any concerns or questions about the things we are doing please call me. My role is to minister to your kids but I also want to help your families grow together as one. I realize that the family is the primary place for spiritual growth and everything we do in the youth ministry should be there to complement those teachings, so let me know how we can better serve you all. Also, we want you all to be involved!!! There are plenty of outlets where you all can get involved:

• Have the Gathering at your home (fall semester is all filled)

• Be a chaperone for an activity when needed

• Help carpool and get kids to the meetings

Most importantly, we need your prayers.
